On the 1 September 2022, Thursday at New Delhi, the union minister of India Amit Shah has launched a new portal for central armed police forces called CAPF eAwas Portal. The main objective of this portal is to increase the opportunities of finding govt accommodation by expanding the available bridge of accommodation for CAPF personnel. Union Minister stated that through this portal the CAPF personnel can find accommodation available with other forces instead of finding accommodation available in their own force.

Recently on the date 1st September 2022, the Union Minister of India Mr. Amit Shah has launched a new scheme in New Delhi called CAPF eAwas Portal for Central Armed Police Forces.
The motive of this portal is to expand the chances of finding government accommodation by expanding the available bridge of accommodation for CAPF personnel. Any employee of CAPF can apply for the vacant residence, if the accommodation of a special force is not allotted for 4 months.

CAPF eAwas Portal
- Though this portal, the residential satisfaction in the forces of CAPFs has gone up to 13%.
- The housing satisfaction ratio in CAPFs was 33-34% before the BJP came in power in 2014 according to the Mr. Amit Shah and after BJP the ratio has increased to 48%.
- In the last 8 years, around 31000 houses have been constructed by the ministry of home affairs.
- Currently the houses which are under construction are 17000 and the houses which are proposed to be constructed are around 15000.
- After the construction of these remaining houses the residential satisfaction will increase up to 60 %.
- By 2024 the central government CAPF eAwas Portal aimed to reach 74% residential satisfaction ratio.
CAPF eAwas Portal Objectives
Increasing the residential satisfaction ration of CAPF personnel is the main motive behind releasing this CAPF eAwas portal by the government. The residential satisfaction ration among CAPF personnel is very low. So that it why through this portal a house of one force lying vacant can be given to the personnel of other willing force.
Currently 19% of the houses of almost all the forces of the CAPFs are vacant so now they will be provided to any interested force personnel of CAPF with the help of this portal.

All the Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo – Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Border Security Force all are eligible for this CAPF eAwas Portal.
Steps to login to CAPF e-Awas Portal?
- Firstly, visit to the official portal of CAPF e Awas.
- Then, the homepage of the website will open.
- Here, click on the option called login. This option will be found from menu bar.
- Then, enter your valid phone number and email id and also add your captcha code.
- Here, click on the option called sign in.
Apply Online for the Accommodation on CAPF eAwas Portal
- Firstly, visit to the CAPF e-Awas Portal.
- Here, click on the option called registration.
- After this, the registration form will open.
- You need to fill the required details in this form.
- Once you are done with the form fill process then click on the register option.
- Here, click on the login option.
- Here enter your valid mobile number, email id and captcha code.
- Then, click on the sign in option.
- Then, you will get an OTP on your registered phone number.
- You need to enter the same OTP in the provided column in the form.
- After this click on the submit OTP option.
- Once you are done with your login procedure you can check your personal information.
- You can update your personal information and save it.
- After this, you need to click on the apply for allotment.
- Then, you will see the options like simple pool and detached family accommodation pool.
- After this you will be able to apply as per your convenience.
